Organized by the Association of Ston Shellfish Farmers, from March 19 to 22, 2026, the traditional Days of the Mali Ston Oyster will be held in Mali Ston and Brijesta – an event celebrating the most valuable symbol of Mali Ston Bay – the Mali Ston oyster.

Saturday, March 21, is the central and most festive day of the event, when Mali Ston and Brijesta transform into a large open-air stage dedicated to celebrating Mali Ston oysters, local wines, and live music. Alongside all-day tastings of fresh oysters and wine, this traditional festival offers the opportunity to meet local oyster farmers and enjoy a rich music program. In Mali Ston, Branko Medak and Jexi Band will perform, while Naro and Versi will entertain visitors in Brijesta. This unique combination of a premium delicacy, local music, and direct encounters with producers makes Saturday the highlight of the festival and the main reason for the large number of visitors. Oyster and wine tastings will also take place on Sunday, March 22, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the waterfronts of Mali Ston and Brijesta.

The full four-day program, taking place from March 19 to 22, 2026, includes the official opening ceremony, a professional and scientific segment dedicated to Adriatic mariculture, gastronomic workshops, educational content, and family activities.

During the festival weekend, from Friday to Sunday, free admission will be granted to the impressive Ston Walls, one of the longest fortification systems in Europe. Boat excursions from Mali Ston to oyster farms will also be organized, allowing visitors to experience the cultivation process firsthand and taste oysters directly from the sea.

Sunday is dedicated to the youngest visitors with creative children’s workshops, and guests will also be able to participate in costumed guided tours through Ston.

The Days of the Mali Ston Oyster once again confirm their status as one of the most important eno-gastronomic events of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, promoting a centuries-old shellfish farming tradition and the unique identity of Mali Ston Bay.
