Our family is here to provide unique holiday in a very calm an intimate surrounding.

We are situated in Ponikve, just near the main road through Peljesac peninsula. For rent we have 2 studio apartments and 2 rooms with bathrooms, which are all situated in the back of the house with a beautiful view on the wineyards and green gardens.

Our position is ideal for relaxing holiday in cosy domestic atmosphere.
We have a small winery, where guests can taste our famous "plavac mali" red wine.
Many of our regular guests are specially satisfied with the position itself, cause we are situated 4 min. drive from the beautiful sand beach in Prapratno bay, 10 min. from historical place Ston with the famous city walls, and 35 min. drive from Dubrovnik, also 20 min. by ferry to the Mljet island - National Park...
So, once again you are very welcome to our home throughout whole year.

“Čagalj”, or European Golden jackal - is a native to Pelješac, and lends its name to a centuries old family moniker. Back in the late 1800s, near the village of Ponikve, high above the old Napoleonic road, “Željezni Pavo” [Steely Paul], the great grand-father of the current winemaker earned a reputation for his ceaseless toil. He planted his vines three wide on the drystone terraces his family hued from the steep limestone hills and on the rich plains under the fortifications of Ston. Pavo would show his children how to plant vine cuttings in the deep cracks of bare rock. "The harder the vine struggles to grow, the better will be its fruit," he claimed. “Nothing good comes without the effort.”

Today, Mario Androvic continues the simple wine making tradition of his forefathers, an un-tampered, true to variety offering of the ancient local grape, Mali Plavac (“Little Blue”), nurtured in the same family vineyards, beside the old stone road built through Pelješac by Napoleon’s troops.
