Putnikovići - Dubrava

PUTNIKOVICI, a village in the interior part of the Peljesac Peninsula, 17 km northwest of Ston; elevation 156 m. Chief occupations are farming and livestock breeding. Putnikovic is located on the regional road running along the peninsula. The church of St. Mary Magdalene was built in 1749.Dubrava lies on the southern Dalmatian peninsula Peljesac that is connected to the mainland by road via Ston and by ferry line Ploce - Trpanj. Peljesac is known worldwide for its excellent wines. The inhabitants have traditionally lived off of wine and olive growing, fishing and mussel breeding. When on Peljesac, taste traditionally prepared mussels. The old part of Dubrava is situated 5 km from the bay in which private houses with rooms and apartments to rent have been built. We recommend Dubrava to guests looking for peace and quiet. The nearest store is several kilometers away. Diving enthusiasts can explore the beautiful underwaters, while surfers can enjoy favorable winds in Viganj and Lovisce.
